Spring Canyon Middle School is buzzing with excitement as it prepares to celebrate Literacy Week from February 23-27 with a series of engaging and creative events. The week kicks off on Monday with "Newspaper Day," where students and staff are invited to wear black and white attire, reminiscent of classic newsprint. Tuesday promises to add a literary twist with "Poem in Your Pocket Day," encouraging everyone to carry and share their favorite poems throughout the day. On Wednesday, the school community will transform as students dress up as their beloved book characters, bringing stories to life in the hallways. Thursday will channel the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss, with students dressing up as characters from his cherished books. The week wraps up with a playful and imaginative "Backwards Book Day" on Friday, where students can wear their clothes backwards and join the backwards book club during lunch, turning the usual reading experience on its head. This dynamic week promises to foster a love of reading and creativity among students, making it a highlight of the school year.
