Spring Canyon Middle School exhibited exceptional mathematical prowess at the recent District Math Competition, where our talented sixth and seventh graders competed against students from grades 6-9. The sixth-grade team, consisting of Elizabeth Bassett, Garry Green, Leila Borden, and Maripaula Boone, demonstrated their strong analytical and problem-solving skills, securing an impressive 2nd place overall. Meanwhile, the seventh-grade team, with William Anderson, Dow Findlay, Zed Everitt, Lillie Christiansen, and Lydia Boyce, showcased their mathematical ingenuity, contributing significantly to the competitive atmosphere. Notably, William Anderson's individual performance earned him a commendable 10th place ranking, highlighting his adeptness in tackling complex mathematical challenges. The competition underscored the students' dedication to mathematical excellence and their ability to think critically under pressure.
