








In a remarkable display of literary prowess and teamwork, students from Spring Canyon Middle School shone at the annual Battle of the Books competition, a testament to their dedication and love for reading. Participants, each having read an impressive 25 books, engaged in hours of intense and friendly competition. The "Trash Pandas," comprising Addison Harper, Lillie Christian, Hadley Thompson, Gretel Chaston, and Lydia Boyce, emerged victorious, earning first place and proudly representing the school at the district level. The "There and Book Again" team, featuring Lizzie Taylor, Jane Hafen, Kate Pierce, Maggie Elder, Annabelle Holladay, and Elena Cooper, captured second place. Meanwhile, the creatively named "The Chicken Wingers in a Biscuit Getting Blended in an Angry Yellow Burrito Toaster," consisting of Henry Mills, Zed Everitt, Alice Everitt, Maverick Allred, Chase Koralewski, and Benson Wilson, claimed third place. The event celebrated not only the students' reading achievements but also their sportsmanship and collaborative spirit. Congratulations to all the teams who participated and thanks to all the parents who volunteered to make this event so spectacular.
