In a demonstration of both talent and community spirit, a group of six students from Spring Canyon Middle School recently took the stage to perform the National Anthem in sign language during the re-grand opening of the Springville Walmart. This unique performance featured Cambree Huynh, Layla Thompson, Hailey Reittinger, Mya Oakey, Savannah Wells, and Maggie Bastian, who were expertly guided by Brigit Johnson from Springville High. Their presentation not only showcased their sign language but also emphasized their commitment to fostering inclusivity and accessibility for all. The event, which took place on a bright yet brisk Friday morning, was a remarkable celebration of local talent and the spirit of community collaboration. As the morning progressed, Walmart further demonstrated its support for local education by donating a significant $500 to Spring Canyon Middle School. This contribution is aimed at enhancing the school's after-school intramural programs, ensuring that students have ample opportunities to participate in enriching extracurricular activities. The generous gesture was warmly received by attendees, reflecting the strong and supportive relationship between the community and local businesses. The school community expressed its appreciation for Walmart's involvement and ongoing commitment to educational initiatives.
