Spring Canyon Middle School's sixth-grade science classes recently received an astronomical treat as educators from the renowned Clark Planetarium visited to illuminate the vastness of our solar system. The day's activities were filled with interactive presentations and engaging demonstrations, giving students a tangible sense of the immense scale and size of celestial bodies. By using models and detailed discussions, the planetarium's team helped students grasp the distances between planets and their relative sizes in a way that textbooks alone could not convey. This immersive experience not only enriched the curriculum but also sparked curiosity and excitement about space science among young learners, promising to inspire future astronomers and scientists from SCMS.
