Spring Canyon Middle School students rocked it at the recent Españolandia Language Fair hosted by Brigham Young University, an event designed to immerse middle to high school students in a simulated Spanish-speaking environment. This annual fair offers students a unique opportunity to showcase their Spanish language proficiency through competitions evaluated by BYU students and professors, adhering to the ACTFL guidelines.
During the event, participants from approximately 10-11 middle schools competed fiercely in various categories. Spring Canyon Middle School's students demonstrated remarkable skill and dedication, securing a commendable second place in the middle school category. We feel immense pride in the students' achievements, attributing their success to the hard work and dedication they have shown throughout their Dual Language Immersion (DLI) journey. The students' thrilling performance at Españolandia underscores the effectiveness of their language program and highlights the vibrant linguistic culture fostered at Spring Canyon Middle School.
